Fragomen appoints practice lead for Sheffield office

Immigration law firm Fragomen has appointed Jane Goddard to lead the firm’s practice in Sheffield, starting today.

Jane brings a proven track record in delivering impressive performance and leadership. Jane previously worked as a Director in Fragomen’s New Jersey, USA office with responsibility for the management of major clients’ worldwide immigration programmes. She was also Special Counsel at Fragomen’s Sydney office in Australia, and so brings with her to Sheffield a wealth of international experience.

Jane has practiced exclusively in the area of immigration law since 1993, and is a former member of the Australian government’s Social Security Appeals Tribunal and its Migration Agents Registration Authority. She has lectured extensively on immigration law and served as a part-time lecturer at the University of New South Wales and the University of Technology, Sydney.

While in Australia, Jane was also the editor of the LexisNexis Australian Immigration Law service and a frequent contributor to publications such as the NSW Law Society JournalImmigration ReviewImmigration News and Human Capital. In recognition of her work in Australia, Jane won ‘Best Lawyer in Australia – Immigration Law’ every year between 2008 and 2014, as well as ‘Lawyer of the Year in Immigration Law – Best Lawyers’ in 2013.
