Topshop and Topman have signed for a new 11,300 sq. ft. flagship store in Lincoln’s Waterside Shopping Centre. This forms part of a multi-million pound refurbishment plan to strengthen the centre’s role as the primary fashion destination in Lincoln.
Topshop and Topman will be joining Next, H&M, New Look and premium Apple reseller, Stormfront. Vision Express has also signed for a new store as part of the reconfiguration and will be moving into a temporary home opposite Goldsmiths in mid-December. The opticians will move into the unit being vacated by Topshop in Spring 2018.
Asset Managers for Waterside Lincoln Limited Partnership, Mark Williams of The Hark Group said: “We are committed to making the Waterside Centre the home of the biggest and best names in fashion. The arrival of Topman alongside Topshop, H&M, Next and New Look is fantastic news for Lincoln, and we are currently in advanced discussions with other national brands, which we hope to announce in the New Year. 2018 is going to be an exciting year for the centre as we embark on a significant investment programme.”
The centre’s owners have committed to improving the centre through a number of development initiatives which are to begin imminently. As part of these works, an additional entrance is to be added from the Waterfront whilst enhancements are being made to the High Street passageway. Plans to increase the range of food and beverages offered in the centre are also at an advanced stage.
“We know that Lincoln is a rapidly-changing city and with the new bus station opening soon and the Lincoln Central Car Park now operational, we’re keen to make the most of the Waterside’s prime location and bring heavyweight national brands to the centre,” continued Mr Williams. “We’re delighted that the first phase of the project is now ready to commence.”
A spokesperson at Arcadia Group, owners of Topshop and Topman, added: “With our lease expiring on our current St Benedicts Square store, having the opportunity to combine both Topshop and Topman in one location is incredibly attractive to us. We are sure that a new store offering both men’s and women’s fashion under one roof will be incredibly popular with customers in Lincoln.”
