Hull law firm Rollits has appointed Jonathon Wells as Director of Finance and Operations.

Jonathon, who qualified as an accountant with Coopers & Lybrand in 1992 and worked for the Hull Daily Mail, Northcliffe Media and a number of other businesses before moving to Rollits at the beginning of February, has joined the firm in a senior role which will see him manage the finance and operational areas within Rollits. He will be responsible for all aspects of the finance as well as the management of the firm’s insurance portfolio and other compliance obligations.

Jonathon succeeds Donald Robertson, who retired from the firm after 26 years in the role of Finance Director and Wilf Fowler, the current Director of Administration who will retire at the end of March following almost 19 years’ service.

Ralph Gilbert, Managing Partner at Rollits, says: “Whilst we are sorry to be saying farewell to Don and Wilf, we are delighted to have found someone of Jonathon’s calibre to join our team. We are looking forward to working with him as we embark upon the next phase of the firm’s expansion.”

Jonathon said: “Following on from the move to Citadel House last year and the recent relocation of the York office to Monks Cross, I am delighted to have joined Rollits at such an exciting time in its long and illustrious history and look forward to having the opportunity to play a part in the next chapter of the firm’s success.”
