Networkers ready to raise their glasses!

Bubbly entrepreneur Jackie Noble, who has overcome the double challenges of a major fall and redundancy, is preparing to inspire other business women by sharing how her misfortune led to a change of lifestyle.

Jackie, who swapped her 60-hour weeks for an exciting new venture – Miss Fizz – will be raising a glass and saying, “bottoms up!” to Business Womens’ Link (BWL) members when she meets the networking group on May 10 and talks about her mobile enterprise.

It was just over a year ago when the former employment specialist from Gainsborough came a cropper during a visit to York. She broke her pelvis in three places and smashed her shoulder, forcing her to take months off work.

After weeks of rest and recuperation, Jackie gradually returned to her old job, but shortly afterwards found herself facing redundancy.

“The combination of suffering such a bad fall, gradually easing myself back into a job which had often seen me working long hours, then having to leave it, was a shock,” said Jackie.

“But, it gave me the opportunity to think about what I really fancied doing next. That led me to research the idea of going self-employed and offering people a mobile drinks service

“I talked to a family member who lives in the south of England, where this type of thing is more common, then decided to invest in a special liveried Prosecco Tuk Tuk, which I take to parties, wedding receptions, social gatherings and other special events.”

Jackie, who loads-up the Tuk Tuk, drinks and glasses in a liveried van, heads off to a variety of venues and uses the eye-catching Tuk Tuk to serve Prosecco, Prosecco cocktails, punches and lagers and her service is going down a treat.

“I’ve always been a people person and my new venture is fun and has been gathering momentum since I launched about six months ago.  In fact, I wouldn’t mind expanding it in the future,” added Jackie.

Jackie will be talking to BWL Members and their guests at Langleys Solicitors, off Doddington Road, Lincoln, on May 10, from 5.30pm, serving Prosecco Punch and hosting a game of Prosecco Pong and a fun quiz.

Attendance costs £10 for Members and £15 for non-Members. Anyone wishing to book places should contact
