Leeds-based bed makers Harrison Spinks has supplied its Spink & Edgar beds to the new John Lewis store in Dubai – the first to launch outside the UK.

Spink & Edgar by Harrison Spinks produces high-end mattresses in the world from its factory in Leeds, and has manufactured the plush beds that make up John Lewis’ Natural Collection.

Each of these mattresses combines world-leading pocket springs and a host of natural fillings, some of which are grown on Harrison Spinks’ own 300-acre farm in Yorkshire, to offer the ultimate in sleeping experiences.

The revolutionary pocket springs provide unrivalled, top-to-toe body support, contouring to the sleeper’s shape, relieving the build-up of any pressure points and ensuring the spine remains perfectly aligned throughout the night.

Sitting alongside these award-winning springs are layers of sumptuous natural materials, including Yorkshire wool, from Harrison Spinks own flock of sheep on the company’s 300-acre Yorkshire farm. The bed makers grow and cultivate other crops on the farm, including hemp and cotton, which are also included across the John Lewis range.

Graham Astle, sales director at Spink & Edgar, said: “Spink & Edgar has supplied John Lewis with the most unique beds on the market for more than 20 years, and in that time has become the company’s biggest bed supplier.

“By using the finest home-grown, natural fillings sourced from our own Yorkshire farm we’re able to completely control the quality of each material that goes into every mattress in the John Lewis Natural Collection, which again is something that other mattress makers cannot offer.

“Both the unique spring technology and growing natural fillings have led to Spink & Edgar by Harrison Spinks being recognised with two prestigious Queen’s awards for Enterprise in Innovation and Sustainable Development. We’re really proud to be bringing the John Lewis Natural Collection to Dubai and believe the range will be just as popular as it is in the UK.
