PM Legal Services grows team by 80% to meet demand

PM Legal Services – a division of hlw Keeble Hawson – has expanded its team by 80% in recent months to meet rising demand from freehold owning and property management companies nationwide.

The team is headed by partner Cassandra Zanelli, who has been listed in News on the Block’s Hot 100 most influential people in the residential leasehold property sector for the second consecutive year.

Beth Garrett has been promoted from secretary to legal assistant to manage post completion matters. New team members are legal assistant, Zanna Matthews, secretaries Dawn Safhill and Ann Smith – and Kirsten Etheridge, who joined as an apprentice from a YMCA employment scheme.

2017 is proving a formative year for PM Legal Services. Last month the nine-strong team launched a revolutionary flood insurance scheme for ‘uninsurable’ blocks – giving affordable protection to many flat owners in high-risk areas nationwide. Two weeks later the division was shortlisted in the Legal Services category of News on the Block’s Property Management Awards.

Cassandra said: “Having quickly made our mark on the national property management landscape, our new talent is supporting our growth strategy. We are proud to develop the talent of tomorrow, offering trainee solicitor contracts to two staff members recently and with plans for further recruitment in the pipeline.”

hlw Keeble Hawson’s head of commercial property, Richard Smith, added: “The sustained success of PM Legal Services highly complements the wider firm’s status as a leading player across its commercial and private client practice areas. We welcome and value the important contribution of our new staff members.”
