Acquisan has completed its purchase of Liberty Guard (UK) Limited, strengthening its position in the UK market for welfare units and temporary site accommodation. The deal, backed by Westbrooke Equity Partners, advances Acquisan’s plan to build a wider network serving construction, infrastructure, and industrial clients that rely on compliant, modern welfare and sanitation provision.
Liberty Guard, headquartered in Sandtoft near Doncaster, supplies towable and static welfare units nationwide and has been operating for more than 4 decades. It has grown into one of the UK’s largest independent providers, supported by a network of more than a dozen depots and a reputation for consistent service.
Managing Director of Liberty Guard Alex Jones said: ‘Joining forces with Acquisan opens many exciting opportunities. Our shared commitment to sustainability and operational excellence will enable us to scale faster, innovate further, and provide even greater value to our customers.’
Founder of Liberty Guard Gordon Jones said: ‘I began this business 44 years ago with a simple commitment: to deliver trusted and reliable solutions for clients who depend on us. Rooted in family values, Liberty Guard operates with integrity and a genuine desire to serve. As we now unite with Acquisan, our family is proud to be reinvesting and retaining a stake in the business, ensuring that the legacy we have built continues.’
The acquisition gives Acquisan added scale, a large established fleet, and deeper regional coverage at a time when demand for upgraded welfare facilities is rising across major project sites. Advisers on the transaction included Crowe UK and Clarke Willmott for Acquisan, and Grant Thornton and Lewis Silkin for Liberty Group Holdings.
