Activate Group appoints new non-exec director

Halifax-based insurer solutions and fleet and risk management provider Activate Group Ltd (AGL) has appointed a non-executive director from Tesco.

Paul Pancham, currently claims director at Tesco Underwriting Ltd, will be joining the company as a non-executive director to provide AGL with specialist knowledge, skills and assistance, while supporting the business on new projects, fundraising and mentoring senior management.

Pancham is a specialist in integrated supply chain solutions having previously had responsibility for a multi-billion insurance claims spend across multiple products in both personal and commercial lines.

Since 1990 he has had leading roles at Jaguar Land Rover, BMW and Norwich Union/Aviva plc.

Mark Wilcox, Chairman of AGL, says: “We are delighted to welcome Paul Pancham to AGL. He is a highly effective business leader with a proven track record of developing industry leading solutions across the insurance and customer service sectors.

“We believe his joining our board is an endorsement of our business model and we look forward to working with and learning from him.”

Pancham added: “I’m very happy to have joined AGL, and look forward to working with the business as it grows and matures.

“This is a company where the board and management are willing to deliver the kind of business transformation that customers and investors need.

“By integrating multiple, complementary company assets AGL can create value and profitable growth over the long term.”
