Leeds-based Adept Civil and Structural Consulting Engineers has appointed Paul Gill as an Associate Director.
Engineer Paul, who has 19 years’ experience, will be responsible for overseeing contracts and supporting project teams for a wide range of clients in the residential and commercial property, retail and healthcare sectors. Paul will also be responsible for quality assurance throughout the business and for the mentoring of the firm’s interns and apprentices.
Paul said: “I am joining Adept at a time when the business is going from strength to strength. Having recently opened an office in Manchester and won several high-profile contracts in both Yorkshire and the North West it’s a very exciting prospect for me to help develop the business even further.
“Adept has a great reputation in the industry and is very forward thinking when it comes to its approach to projects. It is also one of just four engineering companies in the country to have achieved the BRE Global BIM certification mark which really helps to give it the edge.”

Adept is currently working on a number of projects including the UK’s largest and most innovative distribution centre on the outskirts of Doncaster for retail giant Next, the £12 million refurbishment of Leeds Kirkgate Market, the £20million transformation of Gateway House into a 182-bedroom aparthotel with retail and office space in Manchester as well as a number of retirement living schemes for house builder McCarthy & Stone.
Adept was founded in 2007 and employs a team of 30 in Leeds, Manchester and London, predominantly working across the commercial, warehousing, retail, educational, healthcare, and residential sectors.
