KPMG Enterprise has appointed Anthony Barrett, pictured right, to work alongside Partner Ian Beaumont in developing the firm’s relationships with Yorkshire’s mid-market businesses.
Anthony joins KPMG for the newly created role, from Ogden Energy Group where he was Chief Executive of the renewable energy group. Prior to this he worked in the mining sector in America after a decade as a corporate financier here in Yorkshire. Anthony returns to KPMG having completed his accountancy training contract with the firm.
Career highlights include advising on notable regional deals such as LDC’s investment in Card Factory, the acquisition of Pindar by York Mailing and the sale of Ainsley’s bakery.
Commenting on his new role Anthony says: “KPMG’s enthusiasm for, and offering to, Yorkshire’s mid-market businesses make for superb conversations with the owners and management in this diverse corporate community.
“Our heritage in this part of the market, teamed with our tailored services, are an ideal platform from which we enjoy forming deep relationships, while giving rounded commercial advice to clients throughout their life cycle, from early stage to exit.”
KPMG Enterprise partner, Ian Beaumont, seen left, adds: “In Yorkshire, KPMG Enterprise has a senior team of more than 20 dedicated partners and directors, focusing on helping private businesses to achieve their growth ambitions. The energy and passion Anthony has for this part of our economy perfectly complements our team’s approach.”
