Billington Holdings, the Barnsley-based steel and construction safety solutions specialist, has been secured three new contracts worth a combined £41 million.

The first contract is for a prominent film studio in Slough, the second is for the construction of a data storage facility in Europe, and the third is for a commercial office development in London.

Billington said the revenue from these contracts will be reflected in the 2019 financial year, and will put the company in a “strong position for the coming year”.

CEO Mark Smith said: “It is with great pleasure that Billington can announce the award of these three exciting contracts which reflects the hard work that everyone at the Company has contributed over the past year.

“The data storage facility is particularly exciting as it indicates that our strategy of following opportunities in Europe is beginning to bear fruit.

“These contracts will provide Billington with a solid and sustained workflow throughout 2019 and they help reinforce the Company’s optimism for the coming year.”
