Six members of staff at Sheffield United have been rewarded for continuous long service.
Between them, the six have racked up 159 years of service to the Blades. They collected gifts marking the achievements from the Club ahead of the home fixture against Wigan Athletic at Bramall Lane.
Experienced groundsmen Glenn Nortcliffe and Kelly Barrowclough have worked on the Club’s pitches at Bramall Lane and Shirecliffe, respectively, for more than 58 years – Mr Nortcliffe for 30 years and Ms Barrowclough for 28.
Also recognised were football secretary, Donna Fletcher (26 years), laundry operative, Sue Spalding (25 years), HR and payroll administrator, Judith Foster (25 years), and health and safety manager Mel Jackson (25).
Sheffield United Operations Director, Dave McCarthy, said: “The members of staff recognised today epitomise what it means to be a part of this special football club. I would like to thank them for their sheer hard work and commitment over the years.”
