Oscrete, the Bradford-based concrete admixtures business, has strengthened its national sales presence with the appointment of a Regional Sales Manager for Scotland and the North East.
Karen Burke joins Oscrete Construction Products with over 18 years of industry experience and a two-year tenure as Chair of the Concrete Society Scotland Region.
In her new role, based in North Lanarkshire, she will be responsible for implementing Oscrete’s UK sales strategy across Scotland and the North East of England and is one of a team of five regional managers.
A firm advocate of women in the construction industry, Ms Burke was the first female Chair in the 50 year history of the Concrete Society Scotland Region.
Having been on the committee for over eleven years, she retired from her position as Chair in January of this year but remains an active part of the society.
“Over the years I have developed a real interest in concrete and look forward to this new challenge and the opportunity to develop my knowledge even further,” she said.
“It is a very dynamic industry with innovation creating new opportunities at every turn.”
Ms Burke will work alongside the sales team to support continuous growth and help increase awareness of the brand and its products.
Her appointment comes as Oscrete announces excellent first quarter results and record monthly sales for May.
This follows the addition of two other area sales managers, for the South East and South West regions, allowing the firm to better serve its client base.
