Wold Top Brewery, Driffield Agricultural Society, and Steve Ball Recruitment have been shortlisted in the Business Award category of the East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s Chairman’s Awards.

They’re in the section for companies with fewer than 50 employees, and have been invited to the Awards Dinner at Bridlington Spa on Tuesday, 14th May. The awards will be presented by the Chairman of the Council and Clare Frisby from BBC Look North.

Kate Balchin, accounts and export manager at the fourth generation of the Wold Top family business said: “We’re proud of the contribution that we have made to the local economy since we started Wold Top Brewery in 2003 and are delighted to be regarded as a top nominee in these prestigious local awards.”

The Chairman’s Awards are presented annually to individuals, companies and organisations within the East Riding of Yorkshire to recognise their achievements towards enhancing the area in which they work and live. They are judged by panels of councillors and council employees who select the top nominees and an overall winner in each of the following areas: Built Heritage, Business, Community and Sport.
