Carter Jonas prime development site to SB Homes

National property consultancy, Carter Jonas, has agreed to sell a 5.48-acre prime residential development site in Huddersfield to local housebuilder SB Homes.

The deal is on behalf of a private landowner to SB Homes who are currently developing another scheme in Slaithwaite.

Located on Lingards Road in the village of Slaithwaite, the freehold site has an allocation for 36 dwellings under the Kirklees Local Plan.

It offers good access to public transport with Slaithwaite train station within 0.6 miles and the national road network via the M62, which is five miles to the north.

“The site is an excellent opportunity to create a new housing conurbation in a well-connected and popular village,” said Steven Soper, Senior Surveyor at Carter Jonas.

“It would be particularly suited to family homes given the nearby amenities in Slaithwaite, but would also appeal to commuters working in Huddersfield, Leeds or Manchester keen to live in a village location with strong transport links.”
