A portfolio company of Leeds-based private equity provider Endless has backed Go Plant Fleet Services in its £13 million acquisition of a large proportion of the business and assets of Gulliver’s Truck Hire.
The company’s latest major deal is expected to boost overall revenue to more than £85 million.
“We are delighted to support Go Plant Fleet Services on this deal which adds to a series of other outstanding achievements in the business over the last 12 months,” Matthew Jubb, Investment Director at Endless.
“The team worked hard to deliver a seamless transition of the new vehicles into the existing fleet to ensure minimal disruption for customers.
“Go Plant Fleet Services has also recently secured a major contract with Harrow Council worth more than £25m. 2019 will be an exciting time for the business, further proving its capabilities and commitments to become a market-leading provider in specialist commercial vehicles.”
Mark Gallimore, Commercial Director of Go Plant Fleet Services, said: “This is a significant deal that will support major progress in key areas of our business.
“This acquisition strengthens both our contract hire and spot hire fleets, reinforces our status as a market leader and further enhances our capacity to deliver an all-encompassing solution for specialist commercial vehicles.
“Many of the vehicles involved in the deal are already out on contracts with waste and environmental services companies and local authorities.”
