An exhibition stand manufacturer in Sheffield is putting growth plans into place after securing a five-figure UKSE investment.

Established in 2013, The Expo People designs and builds bespoke exhibition stands for business in the UK and further afield.

“This is a really exciting time for The Expo People, our latest portfolio of international clients show that our positive, friendly culture is what our clients want and what they were potentially missing in the past,” said founder and MD Paul Tomes.

The financial backing from UKSE – a company that focuses on helping businesses in steel areas – will allow the business to move into new larger premises in Sheffield later this year and take on an additional two team members to join its sales team.

“2019 was a significant year for us, with record turnover, and a growing number of projects both here in the UK and abroad. However, with demand increasing year on year we are now in a position where we need to expand both our premises and our workforce,” said Mr Tomes.

“The investment from UKSE will enable us to commit to a long-term lease deal on a new site that will better serve the needs of our growing team and client base.”

Alan Stanley, Regional Executive at UKSE, said: “This is a great success story, The Expo people has an excellent work ethos and clear ambition for growth.”

He added: “Their achievements to date demonstrate the role that a good distribution hub location can have in securing international success.”
