Harrogate-based artisan gin producer Slingsby is celebrating six months after the very first bottle was produced in the spa town.
The makers of the London Dry Gin, launched last September, have achieved a number of milestones including production of their 6,000th bottle, a listing with Harrods, and a list of stockists including more than 70 restaurants and bars nationwide.
Marcus Black, Slingsby Gin Co-founder & MD, said: “We have ambitious plans for growth and are delighted to have achieved so much in just six months after our very first sale of Slingsby Gin. We seek to capture the spirit of Harrogate to produce an exclusive and delicious drink for gin connoisseurs to enjoy.
“Starting the spring and summer season having exceeded our launch plans is a terrific boost and testament to our hard working team and we are encouraged by the great response and appetite for our premium product.”
Inspired by William Slingsby, who discovered the unique and restorative properties of the Tewit Well in Harrogate, half of Slingsby’s 24 botanicals have been grown in Harrogate’s Rudding Park Hotel Kitchen and combined with spring water drawn from the Harrogate aquifer.
