Heck Food enlist local accountancy to expand product range

Heck Food, the £17.5 million turnover family-run sausage maker, has appointed Yorkshire accountancy firm Garbutt + Elliott to help the fast-growing local brand expand its vegetarian and vegan range.

The company’s products are currently stocked in supermarkets across the UK, and it is now looking to further expand on its meat-free ranges.

The meat-free food sector is exploding in popularity as more consumers turn their back on meat and adopt a healthier, “flexitarian” diet.

Garbutt + Elliott will provide financial advice and support to help the company further expand its range into vegetarian and vegan soups and broths.

Its growth ambitions follow the opening of a new £3.5 million production facility in 2017, which created 75 jobs in the region and now produces more than 700 sausages per minute.
