Homelet hosts ‘best companies day’ to mark sunday times success

Recently named as a Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work For, tenant referencing and specialist letting insurance company HomeLet marked the occasion at its Lincoln office, treating the team to a day of celebrations.
Part of the Barbon Insurance Group, the top Lincolnshire employer provided celebratory decorations and gifts of appreciation for its staff, as well as offering them free lunch from its restaurant ‘The Edge’.
Alongside the main listing, HomeLet was also named as ‘Best Improver’ for across all companies who entered the competition by the Sunday Times award panel – an accolade which recognises the company’s commitment to improving staff satisfaction and engagement.
On the day, employees were given the opportunity to win a variety of prizes, including a free night away and extra annual leave by entering submissions into a competition draw which detailed what they love about working at HomeLet. The responses will also work as feedback for management teams, allowing them to know where best to focus their wellbeing efforts moving forwards.
Using printouts from a photo booth, a feature wall has been created to commemorate the day, and – with a blimp flying high above the company’s Lincoln headquarters – a full team photo was orchestrated by an in-house member of staff.
Martin Totty, Chief Executive of HomeLet, said: “Our ‘Best Companies Day’ was an opportunity to show our appreciation for the continued support of our staff, as well as to celebrate the successes of the company.
“The Sunday Times listing is a brilliant achievement for HomeLet which speaks volumes about how hard the team works on developing an encouraging and inspirational environment for all.
“It is important that we remember that this accolade is ranked on feedback from staff members – which we are incredibly grateful for – and that is why it is so crucial to us as a company to keep giving back to the workforce we are so proud of.”
HomeLet is the UK’s largest tenant referencing and specialist letting insurance company, employing more than 300 team members.
The company also produces the HomeLet Rental Index which accurately charts the average prices of rent throughout the UK.
