Paragon ID, the Hull-based provider of identification solutions for transport, e-ID, traceability and brand protection, has secured ISO 27001 accreditation.
The accreditation was awarded by the International Standardisations Organisation, demonstrating Paragon ID’s ongoing commitment to implementing and maintaining the highest standards of information and data security.
As the importance of third party data security management becomes increasingly high profile and continues to feature in the headlines for the wrong reasons, Paragon ID is now able to give customers, suppliers and stakeholders the confidence they need to know that the processes in place are as robust as they can be.
General Manager Andrew Jones said: “Receiving ISO 27001 accreditation gives the whole Paragon ID team a renewed focus and confidence when it comes to managing data on behalf of our growing client base.
“An increasing number of businesses both across the UK and further afield require partners to have ISO 27001 accreditation, by receiving this certification we hope to work with even more companies that are looking for a certified partner for their data security requirements.”
Putting greater emphasis on the systems and processes that were already in place, prior to the audit Paragon ID was able to ensure that all staff from every level of the organisation were prepared and had the necessary training to adhere to the high standards required.
Mr Jones added: “From the outset we knew that receiving ISO 27001 would require a collective effort from the whole Paragon ID team.
“We worked hard with all of our employees from both of our sites in Hull and Wisbech to ensure everyone was aware of the importance of information and data security.
“Having this in place is a real achievement and the team should be very proud of their efforts and the subsequent outcome.”
