Leeds-based locations agency Lifestyle Locations is celebrating a first year in business which has seen it become the fastest-growing locations agency in the north.
The company, launched by Louise Bates and Clare Armitage, finds residential and commercial locations for filming and photography shoots across Yorkshire and the North West. It has grown its portfolio of locations by almost 200 per cent and has provided locations for shoots by ITV1’s Lorraine Show and OK! Magazine; as well as a range of commercial clients including Cadburys Ice Cream, Barker & Stonehouse and Quaker Oats.
The company’s location library of almost 70 locations, which are showcased on its website, have been used by some incredible clients in the past year. With over 30 shoots across Leeds and Harrogate alone in 2018, and a record number of shoots confirmed for February making it their busiest month to date, the growth shows no signs of stopping.
The team is also looking forward to the arrival of Channel 4. Louise Bates said: “We’re delighted that Channel 4 has chosen Leeds for its new national headquarters. This is bound to make a positive impact on television and filmmaking in Yorkshire and we’ve certainly got some incredible Yorkshire locations to show them when they arrive!”
Due to popular demand the firm has also expanded its offer to include a location scouting service which has seen Louise and Clare sourcing unusual locations such as an aircraft hangar, concrete steps in Manchester city centre and a corner shop for client shoots.
“Our hands-on approach to sourcing and photographing each location has definitely proved a hit with clients across the board. We photograph each location ourselves, which gives us a unique understanding of each property so we can walk clients through each location and advise on essentials such as access, parking and catering.”
Clare Armitage added: “We’re thrilled with how Lifestyle Locations has grown over the past year. It is such a pleasure getting to photograph some of the most beautiful location houses in Yorkshire and the North West. There is nothing quite like the excitement of getting an enquiry and knowing that you have the perfect location to make their shoot a huge success. We both know that we’re very lucky to do a job that we absolutely love.”
