A regional waste company has acquired the Melton site formerly used by Hodge Chemco as a manufacturing site for abrasive materials.
With the Sheffield-based business recently deciding to place more focus on its core market in South Yorkshire, Mr Medhurst identified a buyer for the East Yorkshire site in a matter of days.
Boasting a large range of historic industrial buildings and vehicular access from Gibson Lane South, the site has been snapped up by a regional waste company who are already in the process of relocating from its existing base in Hull.
The sale was organised through PPH Commercial’s Ben Medhurst, who said: “It’s always an honour to represent a well-respected national name like Hodge Clemco, so I was thrilled to deliver a positive result so quickly.
“The transaction itself was one of the more straightforward deals I’ve done this year and all parties involved were a pleasure to deal with.
“The site is tucked away in Melton, but it’s got great road access and it’s going to be a superb location for the new owners to do business.
“I’m sure it will more than live up to their expectations as I know they have big growth plans in the future. Hopefully, they’ll be very happy there for many years to come. Once again, it proves how buoyant the industrial property sector is in this region at the moment.”
