Rotherham’s Gala Technology has extended their capabilities to Germany to support post-lockdown requirements.
The expansion of the company’s SOTpay payment solution will enable German merchants to use the ‘out-of-the-box’ cloud based technology to process card not present (CNP) transactions, which continue to surge due to the change in operational practices, following the global COVID-19 pandemic.
Jason Mace, CEO at Gala Technology, said: “SOTpay enables cardholders to complete secure remote transactions without divulging card data to a third party.
“Payments are authenticated, providing liability shift for the merchant, consequently eliminating the risk of fraud-related chargebacks and are processed in a PCI DSS compliant environment, in a manageable and cost-effective way.”
He added: “We have supported merchants in the UK and Ireland for a number of years, who had a need for our technology to process secure and PCI compliant payments and we have seen additional demand since the outbreak of COVID-19.
“We are thrilled that Gala Technology has now completed the development sprint to enable German merchants to utilise our SOTpay solution in their native tongue.”
