Lincoln-headquartered solicitors, Sills and Betteridge, has expanded its footprint with the acquisition of Rawson Family Law, a boutique legal practice based in Sheffield.
The firm moved into South Yorkshire in 2018 and, 12 months later, merged with full service legal practice Bridge Sanderson Munro of Doncaster, Bawtry, Thorne and Wath Upon Dearne.
This latest acquisition sees the firm realise its ambitions to expand into Sheffield where, it says, it will ultimately provide “a full range of legal services”.
As part of the deal Sills and Betteridge has appointed Louise Rawson, Principal Solicitor at Rawson Family Law.
She has over twenty years’ experience in all areas of family law including divorce and financial matters, cohabitational disputes including applications to the court, children issues including contact and care arrangements and emergency applications for domestic violence injunctions.
“It has been hugely rewarding building up Rawson Family Law and supporting my clients through their relationship and family issues, but I feel the time is now right to let a large firm take over the development of the practice as part of its own operations,” she said.
Head of Family Law, Helen Derry added: “Louise combines a sensitive, personable touch with a pragmatic approach to achieving the very best outcomes for her clients.
“She will make an excellent addition to the family team in Doncaster and help us to drive forward our plans for Sheffield.”
