Simpson Millar, a national consumer law firm with a base in Leeds, has acquired the personal injury book of business from Yorkshire’s Lupton Fawcett.
The deal is part of Simpson Millar’s aims to built on its market presence and market share and become a leading provider of consumer legal services to individual and their families through its national network of eleven regional UK offices.
“Our ambitions laid out in our growth strategy will be met by developing our own ‘direct to market’ channels, as well as WIP acquisitions, and the acquisition of consumer-focused law firms,” said Anthony Hughes, Simpson Millar’s Chief Operating Officer.
“With WIP acquisitions and market consolidation in mind, the firm has set up a dedicated rapid response team which is able to immediately assess any new WIP acquisition opportunity and reach a decision within a very short period.
“With the expertise and ability to do these deals quickly – as well as to migrate and meet client needs quickly and effectively – puts us in a very strong position as we look into the near future given the uncertainty that many businesses are currently facing.
