ABL has opened a new office in Somerset as the Yorkshire-headquartered commercial finance brokerage firm continues to expand its portfolio.
The new office in Bridgewater is headed up by newly-appointed Regional MD David Baum, who will be recruiting locally for a finance administrator and apprentice in early 2021.
“At a time when many organisations are looking to downsize – or get rid of their offices completely – this move is the first step towards fulfilling our own targets, and making ABL a truly national organisation,” said Alex Beardsley, joint MD at ABL.
“With our head office in Yorkshire, a second outpost in Scotland, we’re hoping to hit the £1.7 million turnover threshold next year, and with plans to open two further offices by 2022, we have the representation we need to properly support businesses across the UK – and flourish ourselves.
“It’s important that we support both clients who are looking for access to finance, and their own advisors, and a physical presence in the South West will allow us to collaborate with the local enterprise partnerships, Chamber of Commerce, and regional business networks.”
