SYNETIQ, the Doncaster-based salvage and vehicle recycling company, has acquired Motorman.
Based in St Albans, Motorman is an independent remanufactured parts supplier and repair partner to the fleet industry.
SYNETIQ said the acquisition is an “attractive fit” thanks to Motorman’s fifty-year trading history and long-standing blue chip client relationships in one of SYNETIQ’s key markets.
Tony Zalkin, founder of Motorman, and his wife Marion were looking to take full retirement and sell the business with SYNETIQ saying the “timing was right” for the deal.
All of the Motorman team have been retained and will continue to be led by Sales Director Brian Cafferty.
The business will be integrated into the SYNETIQ business “quickly”, with SYNETIQ adding that its priorities are to “ensure a smooth transition for clients, suppliers, and colleagues”.
“The acquisition of Motorman is another step in enhancing our market-leading proposition and will allow us to unlock real synergies for the benefit of our clients, customers and colleagues,” said Tom Rumboll, Executive Chairman at SYNETIQ.
