Tata Steel moves sixty staff to new premises in Sheffield

Tata Steel is to move about 60 staff working in one of its support operations from offices at Moorgate in Rotherham to Unit MBP2 at Meadowhall Business Park this summer.

The company has acquired 12,000 sq ft at ARBA Group’s recently-refurbished business park for employees of its core business support and specialist environmental testing functions.  Fit out works has now started.

This letting means just 7,500 sq ft of open plan office accommodation remains at the five-block business park, which is now home to more than 13 companies, employing more than 500 staff.

Richard Burns, director at ARBA Group, said: “The success of our development at Meadowhall Business Park confirms that high quality accommodation, which can be flexibly used, attracts tenants.

“Not only that, but the location has been key. We are on a prime site close to the M1 with an immediate useful surrounding environment for businesses. We have city centre amenities in an out of town location with retail and leisure attractions close by.

“The remaining accommodation in Building 4 delivers 3,750 to 7,500 sq ft over two floors and has been totally refurbished to include a communal reception, lift, open plan office suites, LED lighting, comfort cooling plus kitchen, toilet and shower facilities. We anticipate strong interest in the final remaining space.”

Tenants at the 70,000 sq ft business park include GMB Union, Community, CapGemini, Tuffnells, NG Bailey, Auburn Ainsley Limited, Chique Photography, KitchenEx, Preventx, Wilford Smith, Eaton Commercial Property Consultants Ltd and Galaxy Insulation and Dry Lining (Holdings) Limited.
