Time Out: Russell Brown, Director at Fizzco

On the final Friday before Christmas, Business Link presents a festive ‘Time Out’. Here we speak with Russell Brown, Director at Lincoln-based Fizzco, a company that provides Christmas decorations, lighting and installations across the UK.

How do you get ready for the festive season?

Difficult question, its Christmas every day at Fizzco, but we start our festivities with all our staff when we break up for Christmas, by going for a Christmas lunch and a well-earned celebration for what we have achieved over the last 8 weeks.

What is your hobby?

I have had many hobbies, the next one I will pursue will be the restoration of a classic car.

What is your favourite movie?

The French connection – Gene Hackman as Popeye Doyle, a classic film.

If you hadn’t been successful at what you do, what would you be doing instead as a career?

I was in the Textile industry prior to the Christmas business, so I guess I would still be “in’t mill!”

If you could have any superpower what would it be?

I travel up and down the country all year round, spending hours in the car, so being able to teleport would be fantastic.

What is your favourite genre of music?

I have a really varied taste in music, from Pavarotti to Oasis, but without a doubt David Gray has to be my favourite.

If you could travel to any moment in time where would you go?

Istanbul, 25th of May 2005 – Liverpool v AC Milan.
