Turnover more than doubles for Sheffield steel fabricator
James Harding-Terry, Managing director of SevenHills Fabrication.

Over the last three years, SevenHills Fabrication, a Sheffield-based steel fabrication and laser cutting specialist, has more than doubled its turnover.

For the year ending 2019, turnover reached £3.5 million – up from the £1.7 million recorded for the financial year ending 2017.

This is equivalent to 31% year-on-year growth, with current year growth measuring 64%, contributing to parent company, Steetley Corner Group’s recorded £8.5 million turnover for the year ending 2019, growing at 48%.

“SevenHills Fabrication is the group company that we identified as having excellent growth potential and we are delighted that inward investment is paying off,” said James Harding-Terry, MD at Steetley Corner Group.

Over the last three years, SevenHills has invested £1 million into plant and technology, including a new computer system designed to take it to the next level of operation efficiency.

“The company’s transition to industry 4.0 is essential for future-proofing the business and the new computer system allows full mapping of production, accounting, purchasing and distribution,” said Mr Harding-Terry.

He added: “All of these advancements mean that our output is more efficient, quality and complexity of product is higher and our overheads are reduced, which is clearly being reflected on our bottom line, in conjunction with contract wins and diversification into emerging markets.”
