West Yorkshire firm makes double acquisition

Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG) have made a double acquisition of Sheffield companies: Access Contracting Ltd and Lightning Protection Testing Ltd (LPT) – specialists in the maintenance, inspection and testing of permanent façade access equipment, fall arrest systems and lightning protection testing and repair.

Paul Teasdale, Group CEO, said: “These acquisitions add to what are already market leading businesses and strengthen our engineering and operational base.
We are fully committed to the continuation of a successful strategy of achieving market leadership across the sectors in which we operate, and these acquisitions add to two well developed areas of the Group and expose our brand to new and existing clients.

“PTSG Access and Safety Ltd already operates successful market leading businesses in both fall arrest testing and installation of permanent façade maintenance, the acquisition of Access Contracting, which consists of a large amount of re occurring maintenance and testing revenue, fits very well with the PTSG model.

“Additionally, PTSG Electrical Services Ltd now has one of the UK’s largest lightning protection testing and maintenance businesses, the complementary acquisition of LPT will support the process of growing this business further.

“Both Access Contracting and LPT will retain their respective management teams who will continue to grow and expand the businesses as they are successfully integrated into PTSG’s Access and Safety and Electrical Services divisions. Nick Hayes, the joint vendor of both businesses, will remain with the Group and his vast experience and technical ability will make him very much a part of the highly skilled PTSG team.”
