Yorkshire commercial finance broker strengthens alliance with North East

National commercial finance company WF Financial Solutions is to take its specialist advice to Newcastle as part of a new commitment to the North East.

The company, part of the Sheffield-headquartered Wilson Field Group which employs 100 staff across the country, is boosting its presence in the region and strengthening its relationship with established Newcastle finance brokers Steven Colwell and Julie Ralph of 360 Funding.

WF Financial Solution’s head of Yorkshire & North East, Richard Froggatt will partner with 360 Funding bringing further resource and expertise on commercial finance and funding requirements including invoice finance, asset finance, bridging loans and private investment.

Richard will continue to work with director Kelly Burton in the successful West Yorkshire office of Wilson Field, and will also work closely with Julie and Steven at 360 Funding in Bishop Auckland office and also a new Newcastle office.

He said: “I am familiar with many of the region’s industrial and commercial sectors and will be working closely with Steven Colwell, a well-known commercial finance broker in the region for almost 20 years.

“Newcastle is one of the “core cities” in the Northern Powerhouse and so there will be plenty of businesses eager to take advantage of prospects which will arise.

“Similarly, whilst there will be some concerned about Brexit, there are many who will see this as a chance seize new opportunities. We anticipate seeing an increased demand for all types of commercial finance.”

The recently-opened Newcastle office at Riverside Studios on Amethyst Road, confirms Wilson Field Group’s commitment to working with 360 Funding to further develop its market reach in the North East, with the hiring of further staff expected shortly.

Nick Wilson, managing director at Wilson Field Group said: “As a result of work we have already conducted in this area, and the work Steven has done, we have decided to further expand our commitment to the North East.

“We are looking at growth and are in a position to capitalise on our strong portfolio of skills and the backing of a broad team of staff who have a wealth of commercial and financial experience and a track record in sales and business development.

“Our business plan is to more effectively reach businesses across the UK. We consistently find that our clients come to us from all over the country including the North East. The Newcastle expansion is indicative of the nature of the group’s growth plan.

“Steven has a strong reputation locally and a wealth of experience in commercial and corporate funding. We are looking forward to continuing to work with him and maintaining our aim of helping businesses to achieve their ambitions.”

Steven said: “360 Funding has ambitious growth plans, and to this end we strengthened our team last year by appointing Julie Ralph as Head of New Business. As an established commercial funding brokerage, we are delighted to further build our relationship with WF Financial Solutions.”

“Our association with a leading name in finance, Wilson Field Group, is enabling us to offer a much wider range of services to our clients so we can accommodate everybody from blue-chip clients, looking for finance at the best rates available, to new start-ups and those businesses who may have experienced historical problems.”
