Yorkshire Water calls for tenders for IT infrastructure


Yorkshire Water is looking for IT goods and services providers to collaborate on IT Infrastructure, along with Software Asset Management.

In respect of IT Infrastructure, YWS intends to implement a multi-vendor framework, worth in the region of £61-£67m. This framework is intended for three years, with the possibility of a three-year extension, followed by a two-year extension.

YWS will also be tendering for a single partner to collaborate closely on Software Asset Management. This agreement is also valued in the region of £62m-£65m, over three years, with the possibility of extensions of up to five years.

Bev Gordon, Procurement Lead at Yorkshire Water, said: “The aim of these agreements is to build long-term, value-added partnerships with IT specialists, to help YWS innovate through technology and deliver the IT foundations which underpin our customers’ needs”.

YWS seek providers who will build a collaborative partnership, and can help change the shape of IT, advising on strategy and roadmaps, influencing people at all levels within the organisation, fostering innovation, and delivering value for money.

YWS intend to appoint channel partners who can be responsible and accountable for delivering and managing contracted work, irrespective of whether solutions and services are sourced direct from OEMs, distributors or other channel partners.  The deadline for firms to express their interest is set for Thursday 2nd May, and submissions should be made to Bev Gordon bev.gordon@yorkshirewater.co.uk.
