Not that it’s ever simple in business, but wehave to contend with the enforcement date forGeneral Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on the25th of May, and the promise of hefty fines behind itfor those who don’t prepare. By now, many will havealready sought advice on GDPR already, but for thosewho haven’t the beginning of May is a late reminder. That’s not to say it’s all bad news in business, however. Despite Brexitand the continuous road blocks in any and all negotiation, trade hascontinued to do well and the property market has seen plenty ofinvestment from overseas, bolstering it in key areas such as Leeds andSheffield. Our May issue looks at all of this and more, with a focus on thepharmaceuticals industry, and also a deep analysis of PPE in the health andsafety environment. Alongside that, we look at corporate hospitality andthe benefits of thinking out of the box when it comes to rewarding yourstaff. With our regular features, events and up-to-date news, this May issue isnot one to be missed.Michael FisherEditorThe magazine that caresWe carebecause we want to leave our world a better place than we found itBusiness Linkbelieves that being socially and environmentally responsible is the key tomaintaining a flourishing business that our customers will be pleased to use and our staff willbe proud to be part of.Community- From a very local point of view, we strive to be a ‘good neighbour’.
