Time Out: Jordan Harrold, Director at H Harrold and Sons

It’s Friday, and the weekend is just around the corner. That means it is time to kick up your feet and relax with some quick fire questions. This ‘Time Out’ features Jordan Harrold, Director at H Harrold and Sons, who, if given the opportunity to travel back in time, would visit 1919, when the family business was founded.

What is the first thing you do to get the weekend started?

I just go home and relax on Friday nights, a nice quiet night in after a busy week – it’s quite boring really!

What is your favourite hobby?

I couldn’t possibly pick one! The two competing for first place would be, following Sheffield Wednesday home and away, and watching motorsport: F1 (and its feeder series F2, 3, and 4) and Indycar too.

What is your favourite movie?

The Dark Knight, easy – I love the whole trilogy by Christopher Nolan.

If you hadn’t been successful at what you do, what would you be doing instead as a career?

I would have tried to do something within football. Easier said than done!

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

I think I’d choose time travelling, more on that later.

What is your secret talent?

I don’t really have a secret talent, but my sense of direction is unbelievable!

What is your favourite music genre?

I wouldn’t say I have a favourite genre necessarily, but my favourite band at the minute is the Killers, their song ‘Battle Born’ is an absolute anthem!

If you could travel to any moment in time, where would you go?

I’d go back to 1919, when our family business was founded. I’d love to see what the world was like back then and witness how our company was established.
