The Society of Independent Brewers and Associates (SIBA) has opened its new headquarters on Dallamires Lane, Ripon. The facility consolidates staff and resources to support the organisation’s operations and member services.
Julian Smith MP for Skipton and Ripon attended the opening and said, “Independent brewers are a cornerstone of our local and national economy, and I am proud that Ripon is now home to an organisation supporting them.” The visit included a tour of the premises and discussions on independent brewing trends, industry priorities, and policy considerations ahead of the Budget.
SIBA, founded in 1980, represents approximately 750 independent breweries across the UK. The organisation promotes quality, innovation, and sustainability in brewing and runs initiatives such as the Indie Beer campaign. The campaign helps consumers identify independently brewed products and is now supported by nearly 650 breweries, many of which display the Indie Beer mark on their packaging.
The Ripon headquarters is positioned as a central hub for SIBA’s operations, enabling closer engagement with members and industry stakeholders.
