JMG Group expands with acquisition of three regional brokers

JMG Group has strengthened its UK presence through the acquisition of Glowsure, James Brown & Sons, and R Todd Insurance Services. The addition of the three independent, family-run firms supports the group’s strategy to build scale through regional partnerships.

Glowsure Insurance Brokers, based in Hampshire and founded in 2014, serves commercial clients across the UK. The move is expected to accelerate its long-term growth, giving the firm access to JMG Group’s wider network and operational support.

Somerset’s James Brown & Sons, established in 2012, has provided commercial and personal insurance services across the South of England for over a decade. Joining JMG Group secures its succession plans and strengthens its market position while maintaining its established team and local presence.

In Norfolk, R Todd Insurance Services becomes the latest regional broker to join the group. Founded in 1978, the business operates across East Anglia and will continue trading under its existing brand with its current team.

Nick Houghton, CEO of JMG Group, says: “Each of these businesses has a strong family story, loyal clients and deep local roots. We’re proud that Wesley and Rebecca, James and his sons, and Paul and Gary Todd have chosen to trust us with their next chapter. We give businesses the backing they need to grow, while respecting what makes them successful – their people, their independence and their connection to clients. We look forward to supporting all three teams as they continue to thrive as part of the Group.”

The acquisitions enhance JMG Group’s footprint across southern and eastern England, adding further depth to its regional operations and supporting its continued growth in the commercial insurance sector.
