Yorkshire Water has confirmed plans to move its head office from Bradford to Leeds Valley Park, with the relocation scheduled for summer 2026. The proposal follows a formal consultation period launched with staff and unions.
The Bradford site on Halifax Road, Buttershaw, has been the utility company’s main base since 1989 and currently accommodates around 700 employees. The move aims to centralise operations within a modern facility designed to improve efficiency and collaboration across departments.
The company cited the cost and disruption associated with upgrading the existing Buttershaw building as a key factor in the decision. Leeds Valley Park was selected to provide a more accessible and sustainable workspace for hybrid teams.
Yorkshire Water will retain several key operational sites in Bradford, including its Thornbury office, where more than 600 employees remain based, along with other satellite locations across the region.
The relocation is part of a broader strategy to modernise working environments, enhance productivity, and support future service delivery goals for customers and stakeholders.
