Hotel furniture manufacturer Curtis Furniture is expanding its operations with the acquisition of a new production facility in Leeds. The company is investing a seven-figure sum in the site, which will increase manufacturing capacity and create 30 additional roles in production and operations.
Work is already underway, with the facility expected to be fully operational by January 2026. The expansion will add 25,000 square feet to Curtis’s existing footprint and include advanced machinery, such as a beam saw, edge bander, and CNC routing and drilling systems, to support faster, more efficient production.
The company is also installing new industrial extraction units, a full compressed air system, and upgraded LED lighting to improve energy efficiency and sustainability.
Curtis Furniture, which employs 120 people, manufactures bespoke bedroom furniture for leading hotel brands including Hilton, Marriott, and IHG. The investment is part of a broader strategy to strengthen UK manufacturing capability and enhance the company’s position in the hospitality sector.
