Amazon revises signage plans for Melton warehouse

Amazon has resubmitted plans for signage at its Melton Business Park distribution centre after an earlier application was refused. The company is now seeking approval to install four non-illuminated signs on the building’s north, south, and west elevations, as well as one illuminated sign on the premises.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council rejected a previous proposal earlier this month due to concerns over light pollution and its potential impact on nearby residents. Planning permission for the warehouse was originally granted in December 2021 following significant public opposition, with more than 1,300 objections lodged at the time.

The revised application marks Amazon’s latest attempt to finalise the site’s external design in line with council regulations and local sensitivities.
