Banner Jones has elevated solicitor Jason Burnett to Director as the firm advances its Care department across North Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, and South Yorkshire.
Burnett joined the firm in 2022 and has played a central role in expanding its Care services. He has worked in children and family law since 2008 and holds accreditation in Children Law from the Solicitors Regulation Authority. He is also a member of the Law Society’s Accredited Children Panel and has been listed as a Recommended Lawyer in the UK Legal 500 for 2024 and 2025.
The Care team is recognised in the Legal 500 for its work supporting children involved in care proceedings, along with parents, grandparents, and extended family members navigating public law matters.
Burnett’s appointment forms part of the firm’s plan to scale its specialist Care work. His remit includes shaping service development, supporting business expansion, and strengthening training and mentoring within the department.
