Bradford launches business support pilot for aspiring entrepreneurs

Running until March 2026, the scheme is funded by Bradford Council through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and delivered by Business Services Leeds.

It offers free one-to-one business coaching and practical workshops, held in libraries and community venues throughout the district. Participants receive tailored guidance on developing business ideas, identifying potential customers, testing market viability, and building confidence to begin trading.

Bradford Council’s Portfolio Holder for Education, Employment and Skills Councillor Imran Khan said: “The pilot is designed to help entrepreneurs turn their business idea into a reality. They will receive practical support tailored to their needs, helping them to test their idea, find their first customers, build confidence and receive real-world feedback.

“Bradford has a proud heritage in industry and it truly is a place where businesses of all sectors can thrive. Anyone over the age of 16 with a business idea can take advantage of the free support.”

The initiative forms part of wider local efforts to boost enterprise and job creation through targeted business support and skills development.
