Caddick Construction has been selected to deliver the £22 million redevelopment of Harrogate College, including a new green technology centre. The project, commissioned by Luminate Education Group, follows Caddick’s completion of the £11.4 million Pudsey Sixth Form College in Leeds.
The new Harrogate campus, approved by North Yorkshire Council earlier this year, will feature a 3,997 sq m multi-storey teaching block and a 988 sq m workshop. Located at Hornbeam Park, the site will receive £20 million from the Department for Education and replace the existing college building, which will be demolished.
Construction will align with Luminate Education Group’s strategy to strengthen regional skills in green technology. Work is scheduled for completion ahead of the 2026/27 academic year.
Both the Pudsey and Harrogate projects were procured through the NEPO Construction Works framework, to which Caddick was appointed in 2023. The company continues to expand its education portfolio across Yorkshire and the North East, reinforcing its position in the regional public sector construction market.
