Finance For Enterprise strengthens lending team with trio of senior appointments

Finance For Enterprise (FFE) has strengthened its team of business lending professionals with the appointment of Simon Quin, Kelvin Smith, and Jonathan Pearson as senior business lending managers.

The trio will play a key role in helping SMEs across the region access the funding and financial expertise they need to achieve sustainable growth. All will be focused on building a strong portfolio of broker relationships while also exploring opportunities to grow the organisation’s direct lending capabilities.

Simon has a career spanning more than 25 years in commercial banking and finance and brings extensive experience working with SMEs and corporate clients across the North of England.

Simon said: “I was drawn to FFE because of its culture and team ethos – everyone here shares a genuine commitment to supporting clients and helping them reach their goals.”

Kelvin joins FFE following a successful career spanning both mainstream and alternative finance. Having worked as a business and corporate manager in banking before spending the past six years as a commercial finance broker, he brings a deep understanding of the SME funding landscape.

Kelvin added: “Having worked as a broker for several years, I’ve seen first-hand how important strong lender relationships are. FFE really appealed to me as an organisation that values collaboration and integrity – I’m looking forward to using my experience to help brokers and their clients succeed.”

Jonathan Pearson brings a creative edge to the team, holding a HND in Graphic Design, and a proven track record in asset and commercial finance. His career includes roles at Lease Direct Finance (LDF), Syscap, Kennet Leasing, Praetura Professions, Close Brothers, and running his own brokerage, Cention Finance.

Jonathan said: “As a former broker, I know how vital it is to have trusted, long-term relationships with lenders. Joining FFE felt like the perfect opportunity to combine my experience with a business that shares my relationship-driven approach.”

Commenting on the appointments, Finance For Enterprise managing director, Andrew Austwick, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Simon, Kelvin, and Jonathan to the team. Each brings a wealth of experience, sector knowledge, and a shared passion for helping businesses succeed. Their appointments will further strengthen our ability to support SMEs across the region with flexible and responsible funding solutions.”
