Free construction software tool goes live after successful trial

Sixty contractors and more than 100 public sector organisations managing more than 300 projects have taken part in trials of free software called Compliance Chain, first of a kind construction software.

The platform, free to public sector organisations, has been developed in collaboration with framework providers, public sector organisations, contractors, and subcontractors to provide the complete solution. It allows all project stakeholders to manage their supply chain, project performance, and social value delivery all in one place, as well as providing a wide range of business opportunities to subcontractors and suppliers.

Compliance Chain fulfils requirements of the Public Sector Assessment Standard (PAS91), and was created after cries from the industry to develop a modern and user-friendly platform which combines supplier compliance, financial due diligence, project reporting, and social value delivery into one cloud-based system.

Suppliers and subcontractors can join free at Bronze level to demonstrate their compliance and become visible to hundreds of principle contractors and clients actively searching for suppliers. Morgan Sindall, Kier, Willmott Dixon, and BAM Construction are among some of the 60+ contractors using Compliance Chain to manage their projects and supply chain.

Robbie Blackhurst, Director of Procure Partnership Framework said: “We have been using Compliance Chain to monitor projects across the entire framework and have found it has added to our business offering and completely transformed the way we monitor, support and celebrate our clients’ projects.

“The platform is easy to use, with intelligent reporting tools that allows our clients to track social value, project delivery and supply chain management across hundreds of high-level projects at one time.”

Adam Cochrane, Operations Manager of Compliance Chain said: “After conducting extensive market research with project stakeholders, we found although there are platforms available that monitor supplier compliance, project performance and social value delivery, a platform does not exist that combines all these functions into one complete solution.

“Collaboration sits at the heart of Compliance Chain and after a successful trial period we have already received incredible feedback from our platform members. I am really excited for the next year, working with new and existing clients and suppliers to continuously deliver successful construction projects, while supporting our suppliers with exciting new opportunities. We pride ourselves on regularly communicating to our members, taking their feedback onboard and implementing recommendations wherever possible to ensure Compliance Chain is a productive, user friendly and collaborative solution.”

Memberships are free to Bronze Level Subcontractors and Suppliers and accessible to all Principal Contractors and Public Sector Organisations.
