Louise wins ‘outstanding employee’ accolade in Hull BID awards

Hull Trains’ Service Delivery Director Louise Mendham has been named as the city’s ‘Outstanding Employee’ at the annual Hull BID Awards.

It’s the second award win for Louise in recent months after she picked up the ‘Outstanding Personal Contribution Award (Management)’ at the National Rail Awards for her selfless dedication to leadership.

Lou said: “Everyone at Hull Trains is looking forward to a positive year so it is great to see that we have the backing of the local business community. 2023 is all about getting back to what we do best, which is providing high-quality, reliable services to the people of Hull and the surrounding communities. This award win is testament to all of the hard work our colleagues have dedicated to keeping people moving during a challenging period.”

Martijn Gilbert, MD of Hull Trains, added: “I’m super proud to have Louise as part of my amazing team leading the operations for Hull Trains. The recognition is well deserved and highlights the work she and the entire team do to keep providing the level of service we at Hull Trains strive for daily.”

It was the ninth year for the Hull BID Awards which sets out to celebrate the very best of Hull city centre businesses. The night was attended by around 300 local business representatives and guests as the awards were handed out by hosts Phil and Amanda White from BBC Radio Humberside.
