Premier Modular has secured a multimillion-pound contract to provide new security facilities at Manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands airports. The work forms part of Manchester Airport Group’s wider investment programme to enhance operations and infrastructure across its sites.
The project involves 42 modular units built offsite at Premier Modular’s manufacturing facility in East Yorkshire. The modular approach allows faster delivery and limits on-site disruption, aligning with the aviation sector’s operational demands.
Premier Modular is collaborating with BAM on the design, installation and fit-out of the facilities. Construction has already started at Manchester and London Stansted, while work at East Midlands Airport is set to begin later this month.
The repeatable modular design enables efficient rollout across multiple locations, offering scalability for future infrastructure projects within the airport network. The development underscores the growing use of offsite manufacturing in high-security environments, where precision and rapid deployment are key to maintaining operational continuity.
