Regional pharmacy group expands with Leeds acquisition

A high-dispensing pharmacy in Leeds has been sold to a growing regional operator, marking further consolidation in the independent pharmacy sector.

Roundhay Pharmacy, located on Roundhay Road in the Harehills area of Leeds, dispenses around 11,500 items per month and has served the community for more than two decades. The business was previously owned by Adeel Sarwar of AAA Healthcare Limited, who placed it on the market as part of his transition toward semi-retirement.

The site has been acquired by TD Medicare Ltd, led by Sie Yew Ting and Tech Ding, which already operates two pharmacies in Scunthorpe. The acquisition brings the company’s total portfolio to three branches as it strengthens its regional presence.

The transaction was handled by Christie & Co through a confidential sales process. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

The sale reflects continued demand for established community pharmacies in high-footfall urban areas, with expanding groups seeking to build scale across Yorkshire and the Humber.
