Westdale Group opens new premises in Wombwell

Westdale North Ltd, a regional division of the Westdale Group, has recently opened a new premises in Wombwell after securing a contract with Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council to deliver external wall insulation as part of its ongoing energy efficiency schemes for residents who own or privately rent their property.

Originally from Doncaster, the company is a solid wall insulation, facades and general construction contractor. Their role in Barnsley is to deliver energy efficiency measures to private sector homes using Government funding to improve the quality of living accommodation. This should also help with the cost of energy bills and reduce carbon emissions from housing stock by improving energy efficiency.

Councillor Robert Frost, Cabinet spokesperson for Regeneration and Culture, said: “It’s great to see Westdale open an office in Wombwell.

“Given the current scale of the cost of living crisis, their work is vital, and we hope they will make a real difference to the lives of our residents in conjunction with the Warm Homes team.”

Joe Rogers, director at Westdale, added: “Having carried out many of these projects in other regions of the country, it’s great to have the opportunity to come back and operate more locally. We’re incredibly excited to be investing in an area that means a lot to our staff and operatives, many of whom reside in Barnsley.

“By contributing to the local supply chain and providing more jobs in the borough, we feel we’re helping to fuel the local economy and helping Barnsley to become both warmer and more prosperous for us all.”
